Ukraine is joining a New European Computerized Transit System

The representatives of governmental office of European Integration, together with Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Economic Development, State Fiscal Service, representative of EU and ambassador of the Republic of Lithuanian have discussed a set of measures of legal, organizational, structural and financial means, which have to be implemented in Ukraine during the next few years, in order to join the general transit system.



“The accession to the general transit system is mentioned in The Ukraine–European Union Association Agreement. It has to promote the development of trade-economic relations between Ukraine and European Community, as it will speed up customs procedures and will guarantee the effective combating smuggling”, - said deputy chairman of State Fiscal Service Konstantin Likarchuk.

The representatives of governmental office of European Integration, together with Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Economic Development, State Fiscal Service, representative of EU and ambassador of the Republic of Lithuanian have discussed a set of measures of legal, organizational, structural and financial means, which have to be implemented in Ukraine during the next few years, in order to join the general transit system.

EU expert Vytenis Alisauskas, who is cooperating with State Fiscal Service since January 2015, noted, that EU is willing to produce expert assistance and any other kind of practical support in formulation of legal documents, experience exchange, employee tuition, testing of the system, etc.
