Results of the U.S.-UkraineBusinessForum in Washington

The U.S.-Ukraine Business Forumbrought together those leaders for high-level talks aimed at advancing the Ukrainian economy, marking the first time the two business communities have officially met since the 2014 revolution.

Main results of the Forum:

• According to Biden Ukraine will be provided with the American aid package - $2 billion in loan guarantees with another $1 billion - this year if the country makes progress on reform; $470 million in direct financial aid.

• Ukraine and the United States will work together to develop a roadmap that aims at improving the country's investment attractiveness.

• The Ukrainian government has passed a number of resolutions that unblocked the privatization of energy companies, some chemical plants and electricity grid generation companies.

• Ukraine Economy Minister Aivaras Abromavicius says Kyiv has reached several agreements with American investors.

• The US agricultural trading giant Cargill announced it would increase its investment into the building of the port in the South of Ukraine.
