Participants of Retail Forum Ukraine 2012, will discuss how to attract to the shopping mall more tenants and buyers

Participants of Retail Forum Ukraine 2012 during open debates will discuss the factors affecting the occupancy of retail property in Ukraine, as well as increasing the flow of visitors and shoppers in retail facilities. These topical issues for developers will be considered in the key market research and application of innovative technologies in the construction of retail real estate. The annual forum organized by the Ukrainian Real Estate Club, will be held on May 29 at President Hotel.

According to experts in deciding the question of attracting new retailers in new shopping centres you should conduct regular market research, starting from the design stage of the object and in the future, in the management of the shopping centre/mall.

According to Thomas Binder, CEO, Sonae Sierra, «in the development of the companies analytics concept it is worked out on many factors: the purchasing power of the target audience, who lives in the coverage area, the amount of money that visitors are willing to spend in the mall, and even transportation, where they will get to object. All this and much more is taken into account in creating a successful mix of tenants that would satisfy the needs of all potential customers».

In addition, representatives of major local and international real estate companies will discuss the application of innovative solutions to modern shopping malls that can increase the flow of customers and improve the retail facilities. Experts believe that new technologies can reduce operating costs of buildings, while creating conditions for real estate developers or owners of the additional profit from real estate. Among these technologies are called, for example, media facades, allowing to make the walls of buildings in the advertising and information media. In the large shopping centers can also be used directional sound systems, control system communications and more.

«Properly developed concept of shopping facility allows you not only professionally perform its construction, infrastructure, associate it with the location, but also improves the efficiency of the shopping centre management, reduce operating costs, which in turn can be a deciding factor when choosing a centre by tenants,» - said Managing Partner at «Ukrbudcontract» Sergei Fedorik.

International retailers from their part will present their vision of the situation on the retail market and its assessment of the concepts of existing and expected shopping centres. Among the participants of Retail Forum Ukraine 2012 will be such companies as TPS, Real, Immochan, BILLA, Inditex Group, Sonae Sierra, ADS and many others.
