In the course of the URE Club business trip to Singapore the delegates of the tour visited the unique real estate objects such as «vertical city», «eco-mall» and modern science city. They also got to know the process of realization of the complex objects with retail and office spaces, hotel rooms and elite apartments. Besides, the participants of the business tour met with the representatives of the development companies, the architect bureaus, the major investment funds and the financial structures. URE Club business tour lasted from October 20th to October 28th with the support of the Embassy of Ukraine in Singapore.
One of the most conceptual objects of the business tour program was the so-called «vertical city» - Fusinopolis. It is the unique complex, «city in the city» with shops, conference halls, offices, entertainment centers and even parks allocated on the floors of the building. The specialized objects attended by the delegates and worthy to be mentioned are New Tech Park and Biopolis. The first object is a specialized business-center with IT companies etc., whilst the second one is a real science city which is situated in the separate territory.
The first eco-mall in the world, City Square Mall, is also remarkable for its «green technologies» and renewable energy. During the business meeting the members of the development company, City Developments Ltd, presented the estimates on the basis of which the investment in such eco-mall may be repaid within short period of time.
The delegates also learned about the complex commercial objects implementation which is one of the important areas of development activity. For instance, the participants of the tour visited the Raffles City Singapore which includes two hotels, shops and offices. The distinctive feature of this project is its car parking on the top of the building. The delegates also visited the financial centers such as Marina Bay Financial Centre and Ocean Financial Centre – two modern centers, interesting in terms of the professional management.
The representatives of the large worldwide known architect and project bureaus such as RSP architects (elaborated and carried out a lot of retail, residential, industrial and infrastructure objects all over the world), Project Innovations (presented complete design concept from the planning to the brand book) as well as Jurong Consultings (famous for the projection of the science centers and for more than 1700 various objects built during last 10 years in 46 countries of the world) told about the process of modern multilevel objects implementation.
In the course of the meetings with Societe Generale and Phillip Japan Fund the players of the Ukrainian real estate market and the members of these foreign companies discussed the possible interest of the investors in the East European region and in Ukraine. Among the meetings of the tour URE Club also organized the business dinner with the Ambassador of Ukraine in Singapore.
As it was mentioned during the business meeting, the URE Club business tour was the important step towards the discovery of the Ukrainian real estate market by the foreign investors and another level of the relationship with the country of the international companies. This tour was the unique opportunity for the local developers to know more about international experience in the implementation and management of the most modern complex objects of the commercial real estate as well as about the work of the development companies within state program.
