The giant flowers of Jerusalem, mirrored pedestal in Italy, mini-Venice in China and “deconstructivism” of Frank Owen Gehry in our regular  heading  Architecture. Innovations. Future

The first contemporary techno-elegant sculpture “Life Electric” in Lake Como is installed by Daniel Libeskind http://goo.gl/fMI2DN  this public monument is homage to famed scientist Alexander Volta. “Life Electric” was opened to the public on October 2, 2015. The installation located on a jetty off the shores of the Lake, the monument is locally crafted in stainless steel, polished to a mirror-finish to reflect the surrounding landscape http://goo.gl/CFWjUA

HQ Architects http://goo.gl/7hqzT0 installs a “Warde”, four-giant flowers, located in Vallero Square, in the heart of Jerusalem. Four giants flowers were carefully positioned to be viewed from all around the square and from the market nearby, each is separately inflated and reacts to the situation around it, so that whenever pedestrians walk by, the flowers inflate and open up, and then deflate and close as the people walk away http://goo.gl/NV4978

Do you ever go outside but wish the weather conditions were a little more consumer friendly?  Garden Ingloo  http://goo.gl/qG6BoV definitely had you in mind creating their multipurpose dome. The Garden Igloo creates a minimalist space for you to curate an area of your liking. Clear is key here as it comes with a plastic transparent canopy opening up the space to the outdoors around you. While lighting can be perfect for plants and reading a book, they have also optioned off a canopy cover to shield you from the sun when you just can’t be bothered http://goo.gl/3tLBP5

SkyTran http://goo.gl/tvzk9 is going to combat the daily traffic congestion on the roads in Tel Aviv.  At the end of October 2015 the company plans to launch first “jet-like” vehicles aimed to transport passengers in a safe, fast, green and economical manner http://goo.gl/Enl4fT

From now on, China has its own little Venice. Thus, there is no need to overcome a long way to enjoy the romance of Italian neighborhoods. David Chipperfield Architects http://goo.gl/COMRR completed the Xixi Wetland Estate in Hangzhou.  Lead architects Mark Randel and Lbin Chen have been careful to ensure the apartments blend into the natural and built landscape, stressing that the omnipresent relationship between landscape, architecture and water is key to the atmosphere in Xixi http://goo.gl/2kTRx8

Frank O. Gehry is one of the most daring and controversial modern architectshttp://goo.gl/JsKrz, who designs his objects in deconstructivism stylehttp://goo.gl/vGxBxJ characterized by surface manipulation, fragmentation and non-rectilinear shapes.

The bright example is Gehry’s Walt Disney Concert Hall in LA http://goo.gl/aNViwR, though his other works are also worth watching http://goo.gl/oOELA3
