Cabinet increases approval limit for construction projects to UAH 400 mln and over

 As part of the decentralization of architectural and construction control, the Ukrainian government has reduced the number of construction projects it approves by increasing the cost of projects requiring approval by the Cabinet to UAH 400 million, while previously, the government approved projects worth Hr 100 million and above.

According to the Ministry of the regional development, construction and housing this resolution of the Cabinet “on amendments to the procedure of the construction project approval and expertise” was adopted during the Cabinet session, August 26^th.  At the same time according to the Ministry of the regional development the approval of the construction projects should be fulfilled no later than within three months from the date of the receiving expert report ondesign documentation.

Moreover, the government entitled local authorities to register and approve construction projects worth up to Hr 30 million. New amendments also allow the project investor to perform expertise of the certain parts of design documentation.

As were announced earlierunder thedecentralization of architectural and construction control the Ukrainian Government has also entitled local authorities, notary officer and banks to perform a registration of legal entities and entrepreneurs and community organizations.
